2023 Online Bible Study A new study to read through the Bible in 2023 will begin in January. We will be reading from Genesis to Revelation using Eugene Peterson’s translation, “The Message”utilizing the copy that has his introductions to each book along with devotional insights. Hosted live on Sunday evenings via Zoom. Hardcover copies of this bible are available for $20. Please contact Pastor Wesley with questions and/or to register for this study.
Friday Morning Women’s Study is studying a book “Revelation” by Max Lucado. They meet at 9:30 a.m. on Friday mornings downstairs in the Conference Room and are always happy to welcome new members to their group.
Introduction to United Methodism This is a 4-week study that is open to our entire church, designed as an interactive way to learn a lot about United Methodism. This class is also the basis for those who desire to join the membership of The United Methodist Church of New Lenox. We will cover a little of our history, doctrine, theology, and membership vows. There is no cost to participate, simply contact Pastor Wesley (wesley@umcnl.com) so that we have enough materials for everyone. This study will be held on Sunday afternoons beginning at 2:30 p.m. on February 26, March 13, March 26 and April 2. Those desiring to join the membership of UMCNL will be received during the service of their choice on Easter Sunday, April 9.
Chapel Bible Study will resume on Monday, February 6 at 7 p.m. with a 6-week study of the book of Hebrews using BE Confident by Warren Wiersbe. Hebrews focuses on the power of hope, even during our darkest days and that God can be trusted, no matter what the circumstances. Meetings will take place on the Zoom platform at 7 p.m. from Monday, Feb. 6 through Monday, March 13. Books may be ordered online or by calling Marilyn Gallagher at 815-485-3015. Please join us!
